Draft — Tentative. Approximately 2028-05-22 to 2028-07-07: keep this early-summer window open following Shikoku and before the second long Tokyo stay. The former six-and-a-half-week Kyoto stay has been removed because Kyoto is now a shorter stop before Osaka in January. Destination, bases, activities, accommodation, work routine, and budget remain TBD; no replacement destination has been selected. Document review and approval are pending.

TBD. The former long Kyoto stay has moved to a short January stop in Chapter 3. Choose a replacement destination and purpose for May 22–July 7; no new base, activities, housing, or work routine is established by this placeholder.

Budget

Planned expenditure total, housing and fees, food, local movement, sightseeing, owned inter-chapter transfers, other costs, contingency, refundable deposits, payment timing, cash needed, and expected income: TBD.

Use the trip-wide allowances as a planning envelope. Fixed planning exchange rate: €1 = ¥160; retain unrounded calculations and display converted EUR to the nearest €10. No route or housing quote is established.

Arrival from Shikoku: that chapter's outbound record will own the transfer to this chapter's destination, which remains TBD. Exclude that cost here.

This chapter owns the eventual transfer to the summer Tokyo stay, provisionally around July 7. Origin, route, mode, fare, luggage, and timing remain TBD.
