Fukuoka — a late-winter home

Summary

Draft — Tentative. Approximately 2028-02-05 to 2028-03-15: settle in Fukuoka for about five and a half weeks of everyday city life and work, with outings to Dazaifu and Itoshima and optional overnight excursions elsewhere in northern Kyushu. Fukuoka follows the shorter Kyoto and Osaka chapter and precedes the eastbound Setouchi journey. Document review and approval are pending.

Tentative: Fukuoka is the base from approximately February 5 to March 15, with everyday city life and work, outings to Dazaifu and Itoshima, and optional northern Kyushu overnight excursions. Housing, night allocations, activities, and work arrangements remain TBD.

Use the trip-wide allowances as a planning envelope. Fixed planning exchange rate: €1 = ¥160; retain unrounded calculations and display converted EUR to the nearest €10. No route or housing quote is established.

Arrival from Osaka: the Kyoto and Osaka chapter's outbound record owns and budgets the transfer. Exclude that cost here. Route, mode, fare, luggage, and timing remain TBD.

Local movement

Local travel and northern Kyushu excursions: routes, dates, modes, fares, accommodation, and luggage constraints TBD.

Departure and connection

This chapter owns the transfer from Fukuoka to the first Setouchi stop, provisionally Hiroshima around March 15. Route, mode, fare, luggage, and timing remain TBD.

Preparation and open decisions

Select housing for the revised February–March stay, choose any northern Kyushu excursions, and plan the transfer east.

Decision deadline: TBD. Review of dates, housing nights, budget arithmetic, transfer allocation, and travel-plan consistency remains pending.
